The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has successfully registered over 85 million Filipinos to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

As of 15 March 2024, 85,229,486 Filipinos are already PhilSys-registered.

“This milestone is a testament of the continued support of Filipinos to the implementation of the national ID,” said PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General. “My utmost gratitude goes to our registration teams who work twice as hard to reach the last mile of the population in line with our commitment to ensure that no one will be left behind.”

The latest PhilSys registration initiative of the PSA is to cater to children ages 1 to 4, making the registration open to all Filipinos one year old and above.

Christopher Dacaymat from Caloocan has already registered his four-year-old son, Samir, to PhilSys.

Dacaymat says he registered his son to PhilSys to help him become future-ready. “[Para may valid ID] na rin niya, in case na kailangan, maganda na may national ID siya. Paglaki niya, ready na siya,” he says.

For Filipinos who wish to register, walk-ins are welcome at registration centers in numerous locations nationwide, as listed at https://philsys.gov.ph/registration-center/.

Institutional registration activities are also being conducted in public and private institutions. Bringing registration services in schools has allowed students and school personnel to register to PhilSys conveniently. The same service, along with ePhilID issuance and authentication for identity verification, is now available for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and their children via Family Development Sessions (FDS) under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
