PSA remains committed to a proactive approach in registering more Filipinos

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reaffirms its dedication to inclusivity through a proactive stance in the registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

The Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) – Davao del Sur set up a registration area inside the Social Security System (SSS) office in Davao City. Since December 2023, PSO Davao del Sur has been registering and issuing ePhilIDs to SSS employees and clients alike.

Through this activity, a total of 479 individuals have successfully registered to PhilSys, while 57 ePhilIDs have been issued as of
18 January 2023.

PSA Usec. Mapa looks on as a resident of Barangay Leon Garcia in Davao City, Davao del Sur registers to PhilSys through its PhilSys on Wheels initiative for Filipinos in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs).

Mobile registration services also continue to bring PhilSys to various locations, making registration more accessible to Filipinos who reside in Geographically-Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs). In Barangay Leon Garcia, Davao City, PhilSys on Wheels, which is an outreach initiative of PSA, was brought to the community to allow residents to register.

Apart from registration, the PSA is also proactive in providing assistance in replacing the PhilIDs of residents of Barangay Leon Garcia that were burned in a residential fire.

PSO – National Capital Region II, through its one-day institutional registration activity last 19 January 2024, catered to employees and clients of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) inside the Quezon City Hall in Diliman, Quezon City.

PSO - NCR II offers PhilSys registration and ePhilID issuance to employees and clients of the PAO District Office at the Quezon City Hall through its one-day institutional registration activity.

Through the registration activity, a total of 48 individuals were able to register to PhilSys and 44 were able to claim their ePhilID.

“The PSA will see to it that every Filipino will have access to PhilSys and its services. We will continue to find ways to reach every Filipino and ensure that they enjoy the benefits of being PhilSys-registered,” said PSA Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General.
